Nickel Based Alloy Micron Powder

Inconel 625, Size: 45-106 µm, Spherical

Inconel 625 is a nickel‑based superalloy powder supplied in spherical form with a particle size of 45-106 µm. It offers outstanding strength, oxidation resistance, and corrosion resistance across a wide temperature range, making it ideal for demanding environments. Produced via advanced argon atomization in clean‑room conditions, the powder ensures high purity, reproducible quality, and excellent flowability for additive manufacturing and spray welding processes. Its superior mechanical properties and resistance to aggressive media make Inconel 625 powder a preferred material for aerospace, marine, nuclear, and chemical industry applications, including jet engine exhaust systems, thrust‑reverser components, seawater structures, and chemical process equipment.

Precautions

  1. Please weld strictly according to the oxygen-acetylene flame or plasma spray welding application requirement.
  2. The use of -150 mesh powder is advisable when using small and medium-sized spray welding guns. It is advisable to use -150/+320 mesh powder when using large spray guns.
  3. If the alloy powder absorbs moisture or has a storage period of more than 3 months, it should be dried before use (120 ° C, 2 hours).
  4. Readily combustible metal powder. This material also has general toxic and irritating effects.
  5. Maximum allowable day concentration is 0.001 mg/m3. Explosion-safe.
  6. Nuisance dust. If inhaled, may cause headache, elevated body temperature, vertigo and weakness.

Applications

  • Aerospace Industry: Inconel 625 is widely used in jet engine exhaust systems, thrust‑reverser components, and shroud rings due to its high strength, oxidation resistance, and ability to withstand extreme temperatures.
  • Marine & Offshore Structures: Its exceptional resistance to seawater corrosion, pitting, and crevice attack makes it ideal for advanced seawater systems, ducting for ships, and mooring cables.
  • Power Generation: Inconel 625 is applied in land‑based gas turbines and nuclear facilities, where it resists high‑temperature oxidation and carburization while maintaining mechanical integrity.
  • Chemical Processing: The alloy’s resistance to highly acidic and corrosive environments supports its use in chemical process equipment, flare stacks, and ducting systems exposed to aggressive media.
  • Cryogenic Applications: With toughness retained at cryogenic temperatures, Inconel 625 is suitable for cryogenic tankage and instrumentation parts.
  • Automotive & Industrial: Inconel 625 is used in high‑performance automotive exhaust systems and industrial components requiring durability under thermal cycling and corrosive conditions.
