Molybdenum Sputtering Targets

Molybdenum sputtering target is a silvery, lustrous metal which has a 1.5 ppm of abundance in the earth's crust. In many cases, it shows a resemblance to tungsten with which it inclines to be paired in the transition series in the periodic table, but their chemistries tend to show more diverse differences than might be expected. Molybdenum sputtering target has applications for the pure metal that take advantage of its high melting point; for example, the pure material is used as resistance heating elements in furnaces, as electrodes for mercury vapor lamps, and as filament supports in electric lamps. Molybdenum is utilized as an agent for alloying in certain grades of permalloys, steel, and stellites (a series of alloys that contain differing proportions of Co, W, Mo, and Cr). Molybdenum sputtering targets are manufactured in various sizes and they are available in custom sizes to fit all purposes.
