Product Overview of PTFE Condensed Liquid Binder for Li-ion Battery
Polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) Condensed Liquid Binder is a fluoropolymer-based binder dispersion intended for research and development of lithium-ion battery electrodes. With a solid content of 60 ± 1 wt%, a viscosity of approximately 25 cP, and a pH range of 9–10, this material can be investigated in electrode formulations requiring polymer binding and mechanical cohesion.
PTFE is widely recognized for its chemical resistance, thermal stability, and electrical insulating properties. In battery electrode research, PTFE binders are used to help maintain contact between active material particles and support electrode structural integrity. Under suitable processing conditions, PTFE can form fibrillar networks that contribute to electrode cohesion.
The product has a reported surfactant content of 6% and is supplied as a concentrated liquid binder. Its suitability for specific electrode formulations depends on active material compatibility, binder concentration, processing conditions, and electrochemical operating parameters.
